What does it mean to be rooted and built up in Christ? It means that no matter what may come our way; unexpected news, trials, uncertainty, we can be absolutely certain that God’s goodness and His character will never change.
Hebrews 13:8 says that Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. If we truly believe that, we would remember the stories in scripture and in our own lives where He provided for us, showed us His goodness, and helped us in the midst of a crisis. If He did it before, He can do it again.
Being rooted in Christ means to hold on to His unchanging character. If He is unchanging and we hold onto Him, we will remain solid and unwavering in the midst of the chaos of the world around us that is constantly moving and changing.
